We welcome donations of materials that help us continue our mission. Every contribution, large or small, makes a difference. There is no profit — all expenses come directly from Grandma Angel’s heart.
Needed Materials
Flannel — Tiny prints, non-directional designs from any store. We especially need white, pastel pink, and pastel blue.
Thread — High-quality all-purpose sewing serger thread in white.
Fleece — Soft, gentle fleece for the tiniest hooded buntings.
Ribbon & Lace — Delicate ribbons and lace to add beauty and softness to our gowns. White lace, flat or ruffled and 2″ or less is always needed. We always need boy ribbons for the gowns.
Embellishments: Ribbon roses, gems, wedding puffy heart confetti, pre tied bows…
Wedding Dress Donations
We have a special program where white wedding dresses can be transformed into beautiful angel gowns. If you have a wedding dress you’d like to donate, we’d be honored to give it new purpose — to comfort families during their most tender moments.
Guidelines for Donation:
- White or ivory dresses only — Hospitals like the christening gown look. Wedding dresses that are aged or yellowed make the babies look more jaundice – so we avoid using these.
- No cigarette smell — dresses must be fresh and clean (we can provide washing instructions)
- Not stretchy or knit — we work with traditional woven fabrics – satin, taffeta, sheer overlays
- Beaded sheer overlays are perfect for cutting into decorative medallions for gowns, pouches, and bonnets
- Little boy gowns are our biggest need — white satin with minimal beadwork and lace is greatly needed
How to Donate: Please email a current photo of your wedding dress to cjangel+gowns@hotmail.com. This helps us see what type of Angel Gowns can be made from it. Once the Tiny Angel Gowns have been made from your wedding dress, pictures are posted on our Facebook page.
Additional Ways to Help
